Puerto de San Glorio is a natural mountain pass that reaches 1600 m of altitude: it´s located in a wild zone that connects the Cantabrian region of Liebana with the municipality of Boca de Huergano. This is an area of very high natural value in every aspect, leaving the Picos de Europa National Park to the north and being part of the Natural Park of Fuentes Carrionas and Fuente del Cobre. Among many other things, it should be noted that this environment is a place of passage and communication for the eastern and western populations of brown bear found in the Cordillera, which can give us an idea of its fragility and beauty.
Our proposal of combined activity consists of a trekking route plus a mountain bike descent. It starts at Collado de Llesba, 1700 m, to ascend to Pico Coriscao (2234 m), which summit provides the best vantage point from which to contemplate the Picos de Europa and the high peaks of the Cantabrian Cordillera, with a wide panoramic view of 360 degrees. It is an activity of a low to medium difficulty that would take us approximately 4 hours (round trip) depending on the rate of progression. However, we can offer more relaxed but no less beautiful alternative if customers decide so.
The journey does not end here, because after coming back from Coriscao and starting from the same Collado de Llesba, starts our mountain bike descent: a 8 km beautiful track passing through great forests that ends in the picturesque village of Cosgaya where the company vehicle will be waiting for us.
