This beautiful and easy half-day family activity we suggest starts in La Hayuela, near Cabezon de la Sal. After going through Oyambre natural park, it ends at the fishing port of Comillas.
The route crosses the big forests of Monte Corona, where we can stop if desired in their small hermitages and beautiful viewpoints before going down to the picturesque village of Rioturbio, a quiet corner so close and yet so far from the bustling Comillas.
At this point comes one of the branches of the estuary of La Rabia, which eventually flows into the Oyambre Natural Park and its spectacular beaches, located between San Vicente de la Barquera and Comillas. From here a short flight back roads will take us to Comillas. This is one of the most beautiful and famous coastal villages of Cantabria, a place of interest not only by its nature but also its cultural legacy.
The length of the proposed route is a 12.5 km downhill path through particularly comfortable forest tracks, secondary roads and bike lanes, all of which makes it an very easy route and adapted to all levels.
The bike rental (plus helmet, water bottle and repair kit), transportation and accident insurance are all included in the price.
